Tamang Heritage Trek

Explore the best of Langtang region with off the beaten trail trek i.e. Tamang Heritage Trek. It is a newly opened trekking and it takes you to the remote and untouched areas of Nepal. It offers you mountainous beauty, scintillating scenery, amazing landscapes, lush forests adorned with rhododendron, terraced field, local villages of Tamang communities and more. Tamang Heritage Trail is a special god-gifted path and one of the best less frequented trekking trails to explore both natural and cultural beauty. The trek is named after ‘Tamang’ which is the ethnic group of Tibetan origin in Nepal. Tamang communities have their own culture, costume and tradition. The trek begins and ends at Syabrubesi. From Syabrubesi, the trail takes you to Gatlang village offering you panoramic view of snowcapped peaks including Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung and others. Then, the trail heads towards Tatopani where you can relax by taking healing bathe in hot springs. Tamang Heritage Trek takes you to local Tamang villages where you can get insights into their unique culture and lifestyle.

Tamang Heritage Trekking is an amazing short trek that offers so much in limited time. It is suitable for novice trekkers as well. Spring (March to May) and autumn (October to November) are considered best times for this trek considering weather and temperature.

    Itinerary Overview

  • Kathmandu – Syabrubesi Syabru Bensi/1450m approx. 9 hours drive

    Syabrubesi –  Gatlang/2238m. Walk approx. 5 hrs

    Gatlang – Tatopani/2607m; Walk approx. 5-6 hrs

    Tatopani – Nagthali/3165

    Nagthali/3165 – View point -Thuman/2338m. Walk approx. 7-8 hrs

    Thuman – Bridim/ 2229m.

    Bridim – Syabrubesi/1450m

    Kathmandu Valley sightseeing,

    Fly Back to Home Country.
