Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest base camp trek is well known trekking journeys in the world that takes you at the base of world’s highest Himalaya. Everest base camp trek provides a great chance to witness excellent views of towering snow capped peaks while making our way through culturally rich Sherpa villages, exploring their traditions, lifestyle, visiting beautiful Buddhist monasteries and awing the natural beauty with challenging high altitude walks through Khumbu glacier and icefall. Everest base camp trek initiates after you arrive at Kathmandu; get introduced to your trekking guide and team, do necessary trekking preparations and completion of next day of sightseeing tour around culturally affluent Kathmandu valley. In the following day, we take an early morning flight towards Lukla airstrip, say hi to local porter friends and start trekking towards Phakding. Initially we cross numerous suspension bridges, pass through refreshing forests, enter Sagarmatha National Park and finally be at popular Sherpa Bazar or Namche Bazar; which is the main trading point of this Khumbu region.  Meet up with likeminded people, travelers, adventure enthusiast and even mountaineers (mostly during autumn) along with Sherpa heroes at Namche. Further, we head towards Tengboche, the cultural central of Everest region with visiting opportunity of ancient Tengboche monastery at above 3800 m above sea level. It is very important to know about symptoms and preventive measures to avoid altitude sickness. We make sure you are totally safe during this trip as our experienced trekking leaders just know what to do if any emergency or contingency situation occurs. But if you are well prepared then there should not be any issues. We will set a rest day at Pheriche so that our body acclimatizes with surroundings. In this way we cross Lobuche and stay overnight at Gorakshep before pushing ahead towards Everest base camp. We also hike to Kalapathher next morning for observing excellent panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Amadablam, Lhotse and other surrounding peaks. With great Everest memories, we follow the trails through Pangboche, Namche and Lukla before flying back to Kathmandu which concludes our amazing Everest base camp trek.

You must be physically fit and have passion towards walking on mountain trails with positive attitude for Everest base camp trekking trip. It is highly recommended to practice cardio vascular exercise from few months before the trip so that you can enjoy more and make the best out of it. Regarding the best seasons, the autumn months of September, October, November and spring months of March, April and May is recommended. As during these time there is less chances of rain and high chances of getting crystal clear views of Himalayas.
